The Challenge
These heavy industrial transport frames arrived showing severe rust, oxidation, and weathering from outdoor storage. The multi-piece assemblies required complete restoration to protect them from further corrosion while providing a professional, durable finish suitable for demanding industrial applications.
Our Solution
We used our comprehensive three-stage process to completely restore these frames:
- Stage 1 - Preparation: In-house sandblasting removed all rust, oxidation, and old coatings down to bare metal. This ensured optimal adhesion for the powder coat.
- Stage 2 - Priming: Applied light gray primer coat to protect metal and provide ideal surface for powder coating. Multiple pieces were prepped simultaneously for efficiency.
- Stage 3 - Powder Coating: Electrostatic application of royal blue powder coat, followed by high-temperature curing for maximum durability and adhesion.
The Results
The finished frames feature a vibrant royal blue powder coat with exceptional gloss and uniformity. The coating provides superior protection against corrosion, chemicals, and UV exposure. The client received 8-10 large frame assemblies ready for immediate deployment, with protective wrapping for safe delivery.
